If racing isn’t your thing the area is filled with culture and boasts several museums and culture centers. There are no less than 5, maybe more, golf courses within a quick drive of less than 10 miles. Then there is the natural beauty waiting to be presented to you in all of its wonder at Highlands Hammock State Park. One review of the park said,” Extraordinarily wildly beautiful! A glimpse of wild Florida…one area on a walkway opens up into a space that is breath taking, like a Monet painting of the lily pads.” You my find a favorite of Hammock Inn Restaurant, located inside inside the park. It is known for Wild Orange Ice Cream & Pie and “All You Can Eat Fish” on Fridays.
